WAEC HAVE cancealed 2012 200 BECE results

Results of almost 200 junior high students who sat the 2012 Basic Certificate Exams have been cancelled due to various exam offences.

This decision came after the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) released provisional results, of junior high students who sat the Basic Education Certificate Exams earlier this year.

WAEC authorities who are still holding onto more than 5000 of the results after detecting examination irregularities, had previously warned candidates to desist from engaging in malpractices before the exams in April.

According to the Council, exam malpractice remained a challenge after cancelling a total of thousand one hundred and twenty seven (1,127)BECE results due to exam malpractices last year alone.

Speaking to Joy fm on Friday,Principal Public Affairs Officer, Agnes Teye-Cudjoe, believed most of the exam offences occurred in the examination hall, with the usual occurrence of candidates cheating with the help of invigilators.
