BlackBerry Bold 9900 and Bold 9930 are the latest addition


BlackBerry Torch 9810 is the successor of the BlackBerry Torch 9800. Like its predecessor, Torch 9810 features a 3.2-inch touchscreen and a slideout QWERTY keyboard. However, the Torch 2 phones offer a much better screen resolution (VGA 640 x 480). Like all top-end BlackBerry 7 OS phones announced so far, BlackBerry Torch 9810 comes with 1.2GHz processor and 768MB RAM for fast performance. It is currently available in Nigeria and costs around N63,000.
BlackBerry Torch 9860/9850 are all-touch phones from RIM running BlackBerry 7 OS on a more powerful hardware. BlackBerry Torch 9860/9850 phones comes with a 1.2GHZ processor, a separate 2D/3D graphics processor, and 768MB RAM. The two BB phones feature 3.7-inch touchscreen at WVGA (800×480) resolution, the largest BB smartphone display ever. BlackBerry Torch 9860 is currently in Nigeria at a Price of around N54,000.

The major difference between the two phones is that BlackBerry Torch 9860 are WCDMA/HSPA+ phones with Quad-Band GSM/EDGE support, while BlackBerry Torch 9850 are Dual-Band CDMA/EVDO Rev A, HSPA+, and Quad-Band GSM/EDGE phones.

Blackberry Bold 9900/9930 (Bold Touch)
BlackBerry Bold 9900 and Bold 9930 are the latest addition to the BlackBerry Bold family of 3G phones. Like the BlackBerry Torch 9810, BB Bold 9900 and 9930 feature a capacitive touch screen and a full physical QWERTY keyboard (first BlackBerry Bold phones with touchscreen). However, they are not slide-out design as in the BB Torch phones.

BB Bold 9900 and Bold 9930 were the first phones to feature the new BlackBerry 7 OS with its Liquid Graphics that promises a faster performance. These two phones will also be the thinnest BlackBerry phones yet.

Other key features of the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930 phones are 2.8-inch touchscreen, 5MP camera with Flash and 720p HD video support, 1.2GHz processor with 768MB RAM, 8GB on-board memory, up to 32GB memory card support, NFC, and Wi-Fi. The price starts at around N82,000 in Nigeria.

The major difference between the two phones is that BlackBerry Bold 9900 is a Tri-Band WCDMA/HSPA+ phone with Quad-Band GSM/EDGE support, while BlackBerry Bold 9930 is a Dual-Band CDMA/EVDO Rev A, Dual-Band HSPA+, and Quad-Band GSM/EDGE phone.

Blackberry Bold Touch 9790
If you find the price of the BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900/9930 too expensive, the Bold 9790 is a cheaper option. It features a more compact design, trading-off some features for a cheaper price.

Bold Touch 9790 has a 2.45 touchscreen and a QWERTY keyboard. Other features include a 1GHz processor, 789MB RAM, 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording, 3G, Wi-Fi, BBM 6, etc. It is currently available in Nigeria at a price of N63,000.
