West African Examination Council, WAEC, last week, refuted reports that it's released the May/June 2012 West African Senior college Certificate Examination, WASSCE, results.
In a statement by its Deputy Director, Public Affairs, Yusuf Ari as gathered by edoz, the body said the marking of examination scripts had simply been successfully concluded, noting that the results were nevertheless to be officially released.
In her statement, WAEC said and that we quote: "We want to draw the eye of oldsters, guardians, faculties and therefore the general public to the false data in circulation that the results of the May/June 2012 WASSCE results are released.
"Indeed, the marking of the scripts of the examination was only recently concluded by the Council. The Council is, however, operating around the clock so as to unharness the results by August.
"Candidates and alternative stakeholders are, therefore, suggested to be cautious of falling victims to the schemes of fraudsters."
